Iansky Posted August 28, 2009 Share #21 Posted August 28, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Wow, that image is so good it can only have been taken with the S2 sensor - better cancel my M10 order and go with the M9 instead!
Advertisement Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Hi Iansky, Take a look here First photo with M9. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest JasonG Posted August 28, 2009 Share #22 Posted August 28, 2009 Mysteriously, the EXIF data for the OP's image says it was made using Photoshop...must be the new shiney M9 has a Photoshop engine built-in!
Steve Pope Posted August 28, 2009 Share #23 Posted August 28, 2009 My first thought was that this was probably a tightly-cropped, IR-corrected shot of the Emperor's new clothes (but on reflection I realize that would probably involve skin tones rather than perfectly rendered black fabric). Nevertheless, even the most biased skeptic would have to admit that the picture conclusively demonstrates the famous Leica 'glow', not to mention that unique '3D' depth to the image - after this, nobody will ever be able to repeat the tedious canard that these intangibles are just in our imagination. Doc Henry Posted August 28, 2009 Share #24 Posted August 28, 2009 I managed to very briefly get my hands on what must be one of the first M9's in the UK and whilst no one was looking I snuck my SD card in and fired off a shot, here you go folks! The copyright message was added by me in Photoshop, its not a feature of the sensor in case anyone was wondering............... here it is............. James, I have an impression that M9 is better than M8 ! it is really Full Black Format (FBF) Regards Henry
