Best R to Canon Adapter

I tried a Novoflex adapter, and its main problem was that the lens locking pin could not be depressed while the adapter was on the camera body - it ran into the Canon mount. This required either removing the adapter/lens combo from the camera to swap the adapter to another lens, or buying an adapter for each lens.

I use a $80 Fotodiox R/EOS adapter instead, in which the pin is short enough that it moves only inside the adapter, without running into the camera's flange. Thus I can leave one adapter on the camera permanently and swap lenses at will.

The Fotodiox does have a little play, and I'd guess the Novoflex is better "built". But since SLRs will never be my primary photo tool in any event, I can live with cheap, sloppy and convenient over pricey and perfect.

I use the CameraQuest adaptor and it's similar to Andy's - I leave the adaptor on my 5D2 and change lenses at will.

Pete.

Hi Pete

Can you do the infinity focus with this CameraQuest adaptor?

Johnny
