It makes me happy he has an interest in making photographs. He is particularly fond of Black and White. Regards, John

ceflynn Posted August 18, 2009 Share #3 Posted August 18, 2009 The barely visible smile on his face suggests he will not be spending a lot of time writing reviews of cameras he has never seen.
Cirrus1 Posted August 19, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted August 19, 2009 Sorry for the slightly out of focus shot guys.... I couldn't keep him still. Took him to the local botanical gardens today. He shot 137 frames. There are a few that are very good. He had the shot of the day with shot of a grandfather and his grandchild. I am going to take him to downtown San Diego tomorrow to do some street photography. He seems intrigued with the "sneakiness" of street shots! : ) Regards, John
cstevens Posted August 19, 2009 Share #5 Posted August 19, 2009 I have to admit that if a child shows an interest in photography, that they should be encoraged (not pushed) like this...good on you. Not Leica (sorry) related, but here is my 3 old son Jack who has this week graduated from a Fisher Price to a Nikon D40. He has shown apprication for details and some of his photos from the Fisher Price would have been keepers if the camera was any good. The D40 is my wifes and she never used it (I tried to pass on the Family photography business through her, but she never showed an interest like Jack has). wparsonsgisnet Posted September 2, 2009 Share #10 Posted September 2, 2009 Yup, cool. But, how does it happen that this camera is new? Are you a collector of cameras as well as cars and airplanes?
