allamande Posted August 14, 2009 Share #5 Posted August 14, 2009 Paul, This doesn't look at all like a decaying tree. It reminds me of the giant sequoias (I think it's the scale you convey here along with the shape of the trunk), majestic and elegant. The detail and the tonal range are astonishing (like your bridge shot). Gorgeous. Ece

vdb Posted August 15, 2009 Share #7 Posted August 15, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) You are obviously enjoying your DL4. As you know, trees are amongst my favorite subjects and you have done this well. Curious, are you shooting RAW?
pauledell Posted August 15, 2009 Author Share #8 Posted August 15, 2009 Virgil, Thanks. Yes I am shooting with Raw file only. I download it with Capture One and process it to CS3 as a tiff file. I am using the D-Lux 4 exclusively now, but am planning to use my M6 sometime as soon as I get ambitious to develope the film. I have a Nikon D2Xs and a gaggle of lenses, but use it rarely. pauledell Posted August 17, 2009 Author Share #9 Posted August 17, 2009 Guy, Sorry I have not responded earlier. Thanks for your comment and advice about the title. I sometimes overlook the importance of a good title, and you were certainly correct. Perhaps "Termite Hilton" would be appropraite Paul
