soleforeal Posted August 12, 2009 Share #1 Posted August 12, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Quick photography question. How can I minimize the light flares on night shots. The Amtrak station was right across the street from the gravel yard, the black and white smoke shot was to the right of the gravel yard and Sears was just over the bridge. All in walking distance. Advertisement Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Hi soleforeal, Take a look here Industrial Los Angeles (D-Lux 4). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
David Monkhouse Posted August 12, 2009 Share #2 Posted August 12, 2009 Each shot is a gem, the composition of each is perfect, if they are full frame then you are seriously good, if cropped then equally good. So, well spotted, taken and presented. And don't wory about the flare around the light points, that's exactly what the eye would see and the brain would comprehend. Just taken another look, they are full frame and the camera was set on 16x9, excellent

stuny Posted August 12, 2009 Share #6 Posted August 12, 2009 Soleforeal - The are all excellent, but I have no idea what to do about the flair. Like the others it does not bother me.
arthurpreston Posted August 16, 2009 Share #7 Posted August 16, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) In my mind, flare is what makes night photography so much fun. I espeically like #'s 1 &
storybrown Posted August 16, 2009 Share #8 Posted August 16, 2009 All these are excellent, and these sorts of "flares" are good. I like the first shot best, esp with the mainline straightaway on the left. Very nicely done!
