What an impressing play of immeasurable nature. Like a shade it falls down to us mortal humans. This sight, it reconciles.

These look more like beaver lodges. Muskrats have dens dug in river banks, not mounds like those in the photo.

 

Muskrat lodges are made out of reeds and other softer material unlike beaver lodges which are made of sticks, I used to run a muskrat trap line and these look like muskrat lodges to me.

I should let this go.... but I'm feeling fiesty this morning. Guy: Google-Up both species and you'll learn more about their homes. I'll leave out my credentials, for now. No big deal but their living situations vary from geographical location to geographical location......Al

 

Craig, I still think you photo is wonderful.....I have followed The Snow Goose for decades.
