Fotomiguel Posted August 12, 2009 Author Share #41 Posted August 12, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) The rumour is now too strong! First the profile in capture one. Now "Chasseur d'image" confirm the news. I called my dealer to reserve if one of the first M9 and bad luck... My wife heard the conversation.... anyway. My dealer has no idea! Then... My wife: What the hell do you need another camera?! Me: It's the new M9! My wife: Are you going to spend again so much money? Me: I work like a "CABRON" the whole day. So I'm going to do what I want So this matter is solved. When the M9 come, will be mine.
Advertisement Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Hi Fotomiguel, Take a look here M9 rumours have saved me from madness. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest Posted August 13, 2009 Share #42 Posted August 13, 2009 Maybe ruined her Christmas surprise present for you? a M9 Who says it will be available even then? But time and again: ladies make color decisions and you could have ended up with a chrome one. Or with an Oly E-P1 Whereas the Pani GF-1 (and it's Leica twin) look better, while doing the same as the E-P1(=quater size chip in an almost same sized body) compared to the M9 WHICH IS YOURS

Goecker here in Denmark are selling their M8 and M8.2 "demo" cameras for 2/3 of new price. as far as I can tell, all their Leicas have become "demo" cameras over night. Now, should I get one or wait..?

rick_dykstra Posted August 14, 2009 Share #47 Posted August 14, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Leica need an advertising campaign that targets the wives - convinces them to get their partner the new one. Can you imagine the images to go with the following? "Leica - invisibility for men." "Gain the high moral ground. Get him the Leica." "Noctilux. Concentrated beauty sleep." "Leica S2. No excuses and complete obedience for a decade." "With an S2 in one hand and a Summarit in the other, what do you have? Complete control!"
mikenic Posted August 14, 2009 Share #48 Posted August 14, 2009 Maybe Fotomiguel is onto something.... In event of complete rejection ... try LSS (Leica Spousal Substitution) The M9 will never nag you for staying out with the boys til 5am Won't insist you to take the garbage out or do the dishes Looks great strapless Can turn it on within .5 second Can turn it off Takes a broad view of everything Sits on the table in the pub looking great Won't complain when that new model you have been checking out comes for a sleepover OOOps .... Better go - I think I hear the wife coming

Better go - I think I hear the wife coming ...and you actually manage to understand how it works too. It won't give you higher sensitivity when you request low. It won't force you to explain why you want sRGB, and whether you're sure you want sRGB, and what's sRGB anyway? . It won't start beeping while you asked for discrete advance. Then again, when I'm in my sofa, handling my camera, sitting next to my wife, with my cat purring on my knees, I realize I'm surrounded by the three loves of my life... Anyway, I've been coaching/programming her for the arrival of the M9 for a few months now. By the time it arrives, I won't have any trouble...I hope. (Might be an interesting thread to start...)
