Old Man Tree

Virgil - Just before you bought your property your tree's twin brother gave in to its wander lust, as well as its love of college football and hitched to Ft. Wayne. Afterwards he joined some other ND fans at The Shamrock Bar, just east of town, and was eventually abandoned by his drinking buddies. He wandered slowly, generally eastward for a few hours before putting down roots near Paul's home, where he remains today, disappointed, stalwart, but with fine memories or many of the souls he met while on the road.

Paul - Lovely, but I'm not sure if sharpening would make it look too processed or not. I like it as it is (and me the focus freak).

Louis,

I agree with you about a touch of sharpening. Here is a retouched version. Any further attempts would overprocess it as Stuart says.

Virgil and Stuart,

Stuart's assessment of Old Man Tree's is probably correct. Upon further examination, it appears he origionally came from Valparasio. There is evidence of NW Indiana history on the old guy (coal dust from the steel mills). He does seem to miss his siblings. :)

The sharpened version is better.

Stuart, thanks for the family history on the trees. I've never been able to get them to talk to me.

Virgil,

Thanks. The Old Man Tree didn't talk to me either. Stuart must know something that we don't.
