Michiel Fokkema Posted July 21, 2009 Share #2 Posted July 21, 2009 No. If there is an adapter it will not focus to infinity. Cheers, Michiel Fokkema
lfp Posted July 21, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted July 21, 2009 So I believe that would happen with any DSLR maker...
earleygallery Posted July 21, 2009 Share #4 Posted July 21, 2009 Yes, the lens mount to film plane distance is much shorter on an M camera due to not having a mirror box, so any SLR will have too great a distance to work with an M lens. You can however mount SLR lenses on an M camera.
andybarton Posted July 21, 2009 Share #5 Posted July 21, 2009 Leica R lenses work perfectly on Nikon SLR bodies if the mount is changed
lfp Posted July 22, 2009 Author Share #6 Posted July 22, 2009 Ok, What about the G1 Lumix/Panasonic camera. What's you opinio about this camera.. I have a M7 camera and a set of 3 lenses, that I lust love to work with. Some times I should like to keep using my M lenses but on a digital camera. I prefer to use a M8.2 but at this time, I have no time to buy it thanks lfp

Robert j walsh Posted August 2, 2009 Share #9 Posted August 2, 2009 Hi, Can I use Leica M lens on a DSLR Nikon camera ? What type of adapter should I use ? Should I have any problems doing that ? Thanks lfp Yes: 65 elmar, various 90mm's, various 135mm's and visoflex lenses: 200 telyt etc. There are various adapters that you must use. There are many sights on the web that deal with this issue. I currently use a 135 hektor on a Nikon 700.
