Chris Schoeler Posted July 20, 2009 Share #1 Posted July 20, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, today I work with a Leica M8 and a Hassel with a digital back. For several reasons sometimes I still need my Digilux 2. For special occasions when I need to be faster, even more quiet or simply because I can feel that Digilux 2 will render the best jpegs with no need for raw files. I just found a problem in my Digilux 2, I tried to find this issue in the forum but I couldn't. The camera just do not turn off. Everytime I turn the button to off position, or the camera automaticaly try to turn off all I get is the red dot on the EVF or Lcd. The only way to finish the process is taking the battery off. I was looking for a way to reset the software or something like that, but there is no firmware available to reinstall. It should be simple and I would like to not send the camera for service. Any advice? Thanks. http://www.christianmaldonado.com http://www.schoelereditions.com

Because of the time settings and things like that, there is some energy storage in the chip. Leaving it overnight "might" reset the camera. Just a guess. Chris Schoeler Posted August 19, 2009 Author Share #6 Posted August 19, 2009 Thank you for all your help, I tried everything. I left battery out for 24hs, 48 hs, then a week. I fully re-charged the battery everytime. Recently I left the camera on until the battery is off. I still have the same problem. Any:(body knows about a software to reboot or reset or even reinstall the firmware? One of these should be the solution. Christian
