Advertisement Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Hi allamande, Take a look here busy in the summer garden. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!

vdb Posted July 23, 2009 Share #4 Posted July 23, 2009 Ece, the colors and bokeh alone are enough to make this image stand alone. But the subject and area of intended focus are tough to see...the stem is a bit distracting and the bee is not standing out well from this perspective. You could just blur the bee and make this an example of luscious bokeh:)
allamande Posted July 24, 2009 Author Share #5 Posted July 24, 2009 Virgil, this was actually intended as a puzzle You have to do some searching to see the action (frozen though it might be)... Honestly, I agree with you that it could have been executed much better. I still liked it enough to want to share. And the feedback is always very helpful for the next attempt. I appreciate it very much. Ece

SJP Posted July 26, 2009 Share #9 Posted July 26, 2009 I think this is a really excellent photo. Can't find any word to express this. Thanks Stephen
Alan Philpotts Posted July 26, 2009 Share #10 Posted July 26, 2009 Ece - I like this one a lot. I have come back to it several times - your intriguing puzzle works! My eye is normally disturbed by large oof areas in the foreground, but this time I think I am accepting everything oof as background - even though the single petal crossing in front of the sharpest stem clearly tells me otherwise. Had this been my picture, I might have cropped out the foreground flower and leaf that are just peeping into the bottom of the frame. Well done! allamande Posted July 28, 2009 Author Share #11 Posted July 28, 2009 Stephen, Thank you for your generous comments and feedback. I appreciate the input very much. Alan, I appreciate your looking in and your very kind words and helpful input. I see what you mean about the crop. In my mind's eye, I saw them together forming a loop, and that's my reason for what's kept in the image. But I see that your approach would work to highlight the action, and I will try that too. Thank you very much! Regards, Ece
