Crisp Evening

As much as I love dogs, I think that in this case, the inclusion of the dog spoils the image. There are very faint colours, difficult to reproduce and even more difficult to regard as a picture. One has to concentrate on the landscape to make out the details. The dog is a mere mostly black blob, hiding a part of the picture. Besides the fact that black dogs are practically impossible to take pictures of (having a Belgian Sheepdog/Groenendael I know what I speak about), your dog even looks away from the camera, so that there is no face or profile.

Marcus

Brent,

It is time to dig out the sweater again and a wool cap, snow is gone now but its been quit windy and out in the open it is pretty nippy.

Albert,

That is Lucy, Great Dane :)

Marcus and Azzo,

The original file is a bit brighter, saving for web darkened it a bit.

As for with or without the dog, over time I got shots of that view with dogs, horses and without to me they all have there own charm. That day Lucy just happened to pose so it ended up with the dog.

It is pretty tough to get some good pictures of black dogs, I got lots of them but not very many good ones.

Stuart,

Had a picture of that spot last year as my Christmas card.... with a horse. I know people been trying to tell me I aught to build some saddles for my Danes... but they are not quit as big as a horse..... well bigger then a miniature horse :)
