jaapv Posted July 7, 2009 Share #1 Posted July 7, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Those Woo-me ads with dancing figures are horrible. I put adblocks on all my browsers, but I can't find one for Safari under Windows! Please!!!!. It puts me off this site!

andybarton Posted July 8, 2009 Share #6 Posted July 8, 2009 They are all Mac only, Brian. I had a look for Jaap last night, and I couldn't find a Windows version - not that people should be encouraged from blocking ads of course!
jaapv Posted July 8, 2009 Author Share #7 Posted July 8, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) That is indeed the problem, Andy. I fear I will have to move back to Firefox if this keeps up. I don't mind the ads on this forum in general. It is just that this moving-figurine one is too distracting. I can't even read the source, it is right-click-blocked. I had a look for Jaap last night, and I couldn't find a Windows version - not that people should be encouraged from blocking ads of course! Ahh! Sorry about that - just a very quick google search. Safari on a Windows PC? Hmm? I would have thought Firefox was the more obvious solution. It's my alternative browser.
andybarton Posted July 8, 2009 Share #9 Posted July 8, 2009 I did the same search last night. All I got was moans from Safari-PC users complaining on various forums that they coudn't get an ad-blocker...
jaapv Posted July 8, 2009 Author Share #10 Posted July 8, 2009 Ahh! Sorry about that - just a very quick google search. Safari on a Windows PC? Hmm? I would have thought Firefox was the more obvious solution. It's my alternative browser. Jpegs are far better in Safari, reason I was using it for this site.
