Seriously: this looks like the real thing, with models and ideas used for the space program. How on earth (a genuine pun :D) did that get on an auction?

since some of you have asked, here's information on the auction sale and expected high bids:

 

The auction sale , called The Space Sale is ostensibly in honor of the 40 anniversary of the first manned lunar landing. Bonhams is conducting the auction and estimates they will sell for the amounts listed below:

Mercury model: $10,000 - $15,000.

Mercury spacecraft life raft in bag: $2,500 - $3,500

Mercury era NASA hard hat: $700 - $900

Saturn V model: $10,000 - $15,000

Large NASA Command Service Module: $7,000 - $9,000

Apollo reaction control rocket engine: $10,000 - $15,000

Apollo Service Module flight-qualified fuel tank: $1,200 - $1,800

Lunar rock box cover: $2,000 - $3,000

Space shuttle reusable engines prototype (Marco wants to take this through airport security): $5,000 - $7,000

Wind tunnel presentation model: $5,000 - $7,000

Flight helmet bag: $1,200 - $1,800
