elansprint72 Posted June 19, 2009 Share #181 Posted June 19, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Interesting......it sounds pretty serious what he did. Yellow card followed one would expect by a red card for breaking the rules of the forum. I really am intrigued what "a pain in the arse means" according to the moderator and body that rules with "light touch regulation". Can you give specifics since we all need I guess to be very careful as we go forward: > Ask awkward questions of Leica and usage of this wonderful camera and expectations for new kit and after sales support.... is that OK? > Attacking individuals like me at a personal level repeatedly at a level that is libellous...is that OK ? That is an oxymoron; you come across as a moron.

Shootist Posted June 19, 2009 Share #183 Posted June 19, 2009 Frank, just like your post below (17 typed lines and 4 spacing line). Can't you express yourself without going on and on, rambling. No I didn't read the post quoted below. Just to long for me and says very little. Little enough it probably could been said in 4 or 5 typed lines. Even if you had something important to say the length of your posts just turn me off. If we were at a party and you started talking to me, the way you start and replay to posts, I'd either fall asleep or say Excuse me I have to take a wiz. Thanks for this and that you are genunely trying to be nice...much appreciated, seriously thanks. You say I ramble on ...well today my ramblings have been in the direction of : > Defending myself as a fraudster, copying a Linkedin profile ...which I have not done, and other personal attacks in a forum that is supposed I thought to be about Leica, and photography using a Leica. The attacks have not been about substance on what I am saying with respect to the above subjects. > My opinions (about Leica) are not gospel and maybe wrong. I have admitted that Visoflex idea maybe wrong, but the need remains for a Macro / Telephoto I think for at least the amateur market...apparently many people agree and so does Leica. Modern technology seems to offer a solution. > I am ready to listen but not from people who do not argue with facts and come out with statements about how well after sales service are doing etc : Specifics: >We should be happy with six months turnaround and huge costs > We should recognise that a M8 is handcrafted soldered items that cannot be easily serviced and we should be happy with the fact they are prepared to give it a go (Really...if true as an owner..........is that good news to hear) > We should recognise that they have two inventory stocks at Leica ...the regularly needed parts and the vintage stuff. That is why service times take so long...again I am supposed to be happy as an owner. OK I have solid opinions on the above, but thankfully so do many others in the threads I have created ...we are here at 9 pages. Other CEO thread is at 13 pages I think. It is suggested that I should read Google and use search and avoid a thread on actually taking photos with an M8 .....yet the new book on this subject is slammed as useless by several senior forum members. Believe me I am pretty passionate about Leica and believe I have discovered something great with the M8. I shall not give up soon. I also ask what happened to this guy Helios that I have been compared to. Was he someone who was principled also and wished to question or waht? erl Posted June 19, 2009 Share #184 Posted June 19, 2009 O.K. I reckon all that can be said, has been said. Some of it not too politely, some of it faceatiously(sp), a lot of it waffle (my opinion!). Primarily this thread is descending into the pits for no good purpose, at least the bits I have waded through, so I am closing it in response to frequent reports and complaints etc.
