EJohnE Posted August 17, 2009 Share #24 Â Posted August 17, 2009 To "Double Negative", Â I have no idea if any formulation change has upset the ASA/ISO/times shown, as I have not been able to find Tri-X easily, and so have bought HP5+ which I have not yet run thru' the R3 or R8 'cos I've loaded FP4+. Â I would use a short length of film - say 12 exposure length as a first trial. I used to use fresh film for every job, and wander around checking the light levels before setting the ASA to suit them and the chart's conditions of lighting. Â If Rodinal is hard to come by (from a previous poster's suggestion): "Try Fomadon R09 or Maco R09 both the older formulation of Agfa Rodinal. Same dilution and times" Â Have a go, anyway, John.
