azzo Posted November 8, 2006 Share #7 Posted November 8, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Peter, i like both images with the 2nd having better light control allover. Re the 1st, i'm sure ther's more detail to the eye. If i were you, i'd show it. Best Azzo
squanmis Posted November 8, 2006 Share #8 Posted November 8, 2006 I have to agree with Azzo. I like both photos. Fine example of different lighting. Thanks for sharing. John
Guest maddin Posted November 8, 2006 Share #9 Posted November 8, 2006 sorry, i got a negative remark: as these are staged photos i like to remark on the skin: for me there is too much make-up actually hiding the skin. otherwise certainly great control of light & shadow. cheers
petert531 Posted November 8, 2006 Author Share #10 Posted November 8, 2006 In defence of the Makeup. It's completely my direction and this style is influenced by Ellen von Unwerth and in many ways isn't extreme enough! The lighting is pretty much the same in the two pix, just different placement. I feel that shadow in the eyes conveys some mystery...but maybe it's just a bad picture. You likely all feel the same about the next one. A slight turn would have improved this. Damn! This is what makes this kind of work so tough, in theory you are in control, but making sure you've 'GOT' it, is a brute. Peter

azzo Posted November 8, 2006 Share #12 Posted November 8, 2006 Re your 1st image..it is not a bad image, i never said that. IMHO, it only needs some detail in the eyes. Best Azzo
