Not me

Film did not die ....:D

Please see this link.

...and even, the film is put in cold

I think that this picture is taken in Asia : are the Asians become the pioneers of the film?

Leica sells more MP or M7 in Japan than in the rest of the world (see the video in the link)

Henry

Exactly, this is the place. I haven't checked on 400UC, but the photo is showing just the self service area. There is more film in fridges behind the employees. One should compare the size of the film selling area to the real estate price in Tokyo. One can imagine everything, which is not selling, will be out of the shop immediately.

Wow. This would be worth a trip to Akihabara even though I can't stand the place. I get all my non-Kodachrome film from Bic Camera in Yurakucho, which last year downsized its film coolers. Fomapan disappeared and Ilford vanished temporarily before reappearing.

Ahh, but what we can't see is what's filling the shelves of the other 99,975 sq ft of space in this 100,000 sq ft store.

Lots of boxes with Nikon, Canon, Sony, Pentax, San Disk....

More film than I have ever seen on sale in one place though :)

A friend who visited Japan for the first time this past spring was stunned by the varieties of large-format film available in Tokyo and the surprisingly low prices for films like Velvia. Sadly, he had neither the budget nor the luggage space to cart home all the temptations, so paradise looked a bit like hell to him. He declined my invitation to check out the darkroom supplies department.

I don't think B&H will stop selling film, price may go up. I just ordered 20 rolls and plan on ordering 40 more soon just to keep a section of the freezer full.

And like many here I ordered a M8.2 to be able to do both.

Cheers Jan
