I wish I had used my monopod and shot more than one frame. But I shot digital and just a single frame on slide as backup. It's shaken, slighty wrong colors - but I like the energy it has.

R8, 80mm F/1.4 on 200 ISO Kodak, available light.

(Move two meters away from your screen and look: Donøt you feel like a lucky fellow having someone look at you like that?)

Thorsten, i would not lose hope on this image if i were you. Am positive that with some work on PS, will help. Now don't get angry with me but, this image needs a crop. i'll try and explain ok. Looking at this image as it is, it's telling me that she is motionless, but there is a blur, right. So i tried to eliminate the feeling of stillness by cropping quite a bit.Wait before you start shouting & sw...... at me. I cropped her right arm till the beginning of her hair on her shoulder. Then from below till under her bust. ....Part One

This, as i see it, eliminated the stillness,by bringing this beauty to a side of the image. Please note that by cropping her hands and arm and slightly from the top, there is no more stillness in the image BUT on the contrary, now we have MOTION to it, as if she's coming towards us. And this is what this image needs, IMHO.Also, some unsharp mask may help if you would like. All you have to do is to try it out and see what i mean.

Best Azzo

I think it can be improved, but not saved. This shot reminds me of conversations I had with my wife (and most severe critic) when I was first starting out. They often went something like this:

Nora: "It's not sharp."

Brent: "But Nora, you should have seen how dark it was."

Nora: "It doesn't matter. It's not sharp."

Brent: "I know, but I had to hand hold at 1/4 second."

Nora: "It doesn't matter. It's not sharp."

Brent: "You wouldn't believe what I had to do in the darkroom to make it this good."

Nora: "It doesn't matter. It's not sharp."

My wife: "It's unsharp around the eyes."

10 seconds later: "It would have been a really nice photo if it wasn't unsharp..."

40 seconds later: "Why did you make it unsharp?"

[ah, forGET it!]

My friends ask: "Who's that?" after which response then they then comment about anything but the sharpness.
