underground Posted May 28, 2009 Share #5 Posted May 28, 2009 Red looks like a fighter. Is his face scared? Looks like you adjusted his face! Nice shot.
vdb Posted May 29, 2009 Share #6 Posted May 29, 2009 Nice looking dog. Busy background. Would consider B&W conversion and vignetting to obscure the background and focus the eye on your fine subject.
masahide Posted May 29, 2009 Author Share #7 Posted May 29, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Red says Hi to you also. Thanks.
masahide Posted May 29, 2009 Author Share #8 Posted May 29, 2009 No, Red does not tear up sofa cushions, but he will go out in the yard on a rainy day, get a bit muddy and curl up in a ball on the sofa. Hence, cushions are up in the rainy weather.
masahide Posted May 29, 2009 Author Share #9 Posted May 29, 2009 Red is a "catch dog" for wild hog hunting. He leads a pack of Pits after the hogs and he will lock onto the hogs face and drag him down. Occasionally, another pack dog will challenge him and a minor dog fight will happen, so we trimmed his ears to fighting length when he was a puppy. Red has NO head or facial scars but I did retouch his head due to me trying out the Leica CF-22 flash at much to close a distance and frying his face and head with light. The on board flash would have been plenty at this short range.
masahide Posted May 29, 2009 Author Share #10 Posted May 29, 2009 Set camera to portrait mode and managed to get Red to sit still for a split second. Just a rank amateur trying to get lucky with a fast moving subject. Maybe better ????
