Advertisement Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Hi stuny, Take a look here Virgil takes his new horse into town and ties it up outside the general store. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
maurometallo Posted May 26, 2009 Share #2 Posted May 26, 2009 Absolutely hilarious! Virgil, you must come up with something in response...You can't let this go!

vdb Posted May 26, 2009 Share #4 Posted May 26, 2009 Stuart, this is a serious forum for serious photographers and cowboys. As a serious cowboy-photographer it is clear to me that you do not know the difference between a horse and that critter you were lucky to capture. That is not a horse, it is known-scientifically- as equus new-yorkicus, rarely seen in daylight and normally quite aloof. They have been known to be attracted to Ferrari red, obviously the color of the window frame. With this image you have peaked as a photographer---for timing, color, composition, expression and most of all, lucky moment.
pauledell Posted May 27, 2009 Share #5 Posted May 27, 2009 Stuart, You sholld have followed Virgil's act and photographed the critter from ground level with WA lens. I don't think you would have been stepped on by critter, he looks quite docile. Paul
stuny Posted May 27, 2009 Author Share #6 Posted May 27, 2009 Paul - Excellent idea, but I think I'll wear a baseball catcher's protective gear just in case. Virgil - Thank you for setting me straight on matters equine. Clearly, my knowledge in this arena is far inferior to yours. Can you recommend any extension institute courses on equines so that I can begin to approach your level of horse sense?
