My friend distracted the other swan so it came out of the water to warn him off (image of this on People shots under "Pushing his luck") - I managed to get some shots of the other swan with the signets. I was a little wary as I was in the prone position with the 28mm on the M8 so pretty close..............I am happy with the image though. Hope you like it. SJP Posted May 25, 2009 Share #5 Posted May 25, 2009 I really like this image especially considering the risk involved. They can be quite agressive I understand. A few weeks ago my wife and I were priviliged to see two swans swim towards each other and perform their greeting ritual, probably related to the start of the mating season. It lasted for about 1 minute and was one of the most impressive moments I can recall. No pictures I am afraid, exept in my mind which is sufficient. The eight birds are just about perfectly arranged and, as Stuart says, you have some good detail in the white feathers. I know that isn't easy. Well done.
