de dirk Posted May 24, 2009 Share #1 Posted May 24, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) hi everyone! i have not been posting much, mainly because i didn't suffer problems that much with the M8. now i can't activate the menu, nor the settings, nor the preview! but it keeps photographing. sometimes it comes back to life, right after i took a picture, and the red light is still blinking. the battery-original leica- is full, and it does it also with a second battery. i am travelling and sending it to solms seems rather impossible. thankx beforehand for suggestions. I have never heard of this happening. I hope they fix it soon. I am sure you have tried removing the battery and waiting a few seconds before re-starting, re-formating the card, etc. Bizzare. carstenw Posted May 24, 2009 Share #3 Posted May 24, 2009 Some cameras with problems come back to life if you are able to insert an SD card with the latest firmware on it and re-flash it. Mine did that when I was having problems the first time. Also, try leaving the battery out overnight, and leave the camera on.
