Ok, so you would like to tell me and others how many times I may comment, when to comment and what I should say?Let's take a poll on that.

The issue appears to be the right to be at the top page,so either we make it a contest or leave the threads in the order originally posted. But don't tell others how to comment. This implies you know better.

Btw, "pal" is a figure of speach. In this case I was invoking reaction formation. Look it up.

How far down the bottle are you ?

Am I unclear?

How do you see it?

No, your clear.

I see, a few guys having a conversation and you want to fight with someone, anyone.

Some consider it stimulation, others a nuisance. A neurologist gets on people's nerves all the time. LOL LOL

No, not my style in general.

I didn't start this. Stnami singled out as a spam commenter and I have responded. He placed me in this conversation this morning. Not looking to fight, but I must respond. I simply disagree and have offered my solution to this general issue.

What's yours?

As far as I can tell you were the one that first mentioned the 'spam' word after Imants posted a screen shot without comment.

Wrong. He withrew an image from the phto section in protest to "comment spam".

Please review the postsn starting in the photo section.

I did not initiate this argument. I rarely care to comment on anything other than images on this forum. Anyway, we are diverging from the point of this thread.

I am one of the newer members here who dare to show some of their images here, even though perfectly mediocre but willing to learn.

The number of responses my posts draw varies from zero to about - I believe - six. Up to now, I found most responses quite helpful in my venture to improve my pix.

I am perfectly happy with the fact that here are some pro photographers who take any time at all to give a quick and rough assessment of how they perceive my pix. For instance, I am very impressed by Stuart's list of criteria which he obviously can cite from off the top of his head. I am not at all bothered by his doing it at a rate of - say - three pix per minute. This holds true even if I am not of his opinion in every particular.

I also received feedback here from other members. For that to be valuable, it is not material how much time was spent on producing it.

By carefully perusing the critiques offered for my pix and those of others, I learn and - having learned - I hope to become more confident of my abilities.

So please do not call honestly offered feedback "spam". To me, seeing photographs which range from vastly better to slightly worse than mine is valuable. So is reading the assessments by other members.

You should have made that clear to others, how were they to know. You are not the only one singled out, just happened to be chronic in your spam style of one comment after another.

"pal" you gotta earn the right to say that in my end of the paddock and you have clearly not earned it:D:D

I have to earn what? Your making me dizzy. I've spent enough energy on this today so I will let this go on my end. But please don't hide behind your tangential and obtuse words...you started this, I responded. What's your solution to this "spam commenting" issue?

Tim

.............Written critique can often be read as unintentionally pernicious.

Small differences of interpretation between the critic and subject can lead to unpleasant exchanges which, if both were in the same room, could be easily resolved I expect.

Just a thought.

Ouch! Worth restating perhaps?

a friend : we're best pals.

• used as a form of address, esp. to indicate anger or aggression : back off, pal.
