John Thawley Posted May 19, 2009 Share #1 Posted May 19, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) While not my usual weapon of choice while on the job, I took the Digilux 2 for a spin around Miller Motorsports Park, in Salt Lake City, Utah (actually, the track is located in Tooele). I wasn't able to drop the shutter as low as I would have liked as I didn't have an ND filter on me. But, typically, with a scenic background, I wouldn't have dragged the shutter as much as I would with a noisy background. Either way, I managed to nail this LMP1 Zytec prototype at 1/125, F11 at 100 ISO. Focal length was 22.5 (90mm equiv.). The Digilux 2 has an odd feel when shooting a burst of three frames while panning. With my normally shuttered viewfinders bursting at 8 frames per second, I'm visually tracking the car. With the Digilux 2, you're relying a little more of blind faith due to the EVF. So it's do-able.

stuny Posted May 19, 2009 Share #2 Posted May 19, 2009 John - Regardless of the "features" of the D2 and your experience with its features, this is superb for beautiy, detail, sense of speed, color and light.
