pauledell Posted May 15, 2009 Share #2 Posted May 15, 2009 Robert, A very exciting capture. Nice colors, sharpness. I'll bet that was tough to catch as well as you did. Great job. Paul

RPS Posted May 15, 2009 Author Share #5 Posted May 15, 2009 Paul, Michael, Stuart: Thank you all for your kind comments. Obviously, since the D-Lux 4 has only been available for a relatively short time, the capture date I posted above is a typo -- actual capture date was May 3, 2009. I didn't notice that error until after the edit window had closed. I attended this airshow on a whim - taking with me my trusty old SL2 and my new D-Lux 4. After shooting up all my 35mm film, there still was a lot of action remaining, so I pulled out the DL4 and had a lot of fun with it. I'm very impressed by this little camera. Here's another shot from that day trip. Thanks for looking. Air Force Thunderbirds
pauledell Posted May 16, 2009 Share #6 Posted May 16, 2009 Robert, Again, a marvelous, dynamic shot with great color and impressive framing. I, too, have a D-Lux 4 and find it to be an amazing camera. Paul

RPS Posted June 5, 2009 Author Share #12 Posted June 5, 2009 This adds great drama and abstraction ... Thank you so much for the suggestion ... it was educational to explore this alternate treatment of the image. While I personally prefer (slightly) the image first posted, I do appreciate the differences and the relative attributes of each approach. Thank you for pushing me in a direction I might not have gone on my own.
vdb Posted June 5, 2009 Share #13 Posted June 5, 2009 Your very welcome. The nice thing about this forum is the rather broad range of taste and creativity....I literally never photographed in color prior to joining this forum;)
