abrewer Posted November 4, 2006 Share #2 Posted November 4, 2006 Sensational Dave! Love the "Godbeams" out of the clouds! Thanks. Allan

farnz Posted January 30, 2007 Share #4 Posted January 30, 2007 Dave, A very pleasant image that brings to mind a fifty-something lady wearing horn-rimmed specs. "Seventh heaven" on the registration plate is very apt! Pete.
jmr Posted January 30, 2007 Share #5 Posted January 30, 2007 Dave, nice light and a good angle - it works well in separating the car from the surrounding confusion at such shows.
Peter41951 Posted January 30, 2007 Share #6 Posted January 30, 2007 I've always fancied a '50s Bel Air V8. Nicely caught here, showing off the basking shark front end.
samwells Posted January 30, 2007 Share #7 Posted January 30, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Very nice angle, and a superb painterly sky and light. And I like that little knot of people on the far r/h side. cheers: Sam
elansprint72 Posted January 30, 2007 Share #8 Posted January 30, 2007 The subtle tones in this and the angle make it work very well. Glad I don't buy the fuel, though. What about a NW dudes day at a car show later in the year? Gawsworth is good, May Bank Holiday. Beers and burgers on me. Pete.
stunsworth Posted January 30, 2007 Share #9 Posted January 30, 2007 Beers and burgers on me. I'd be up for it - especially if you're buying - perhaps a new thread in the meetings section is in order.
andybarton Posted January 30, 2007 Share #10 Posted January 30, 2007 This is a very nice shot, Dave. Where's Gawsworth when it's at home?
stunsworth Posted January 30, 2007 Share #11 Posted January 30, 2007 It's a country house in Cheshire. A bit like Barton towers, but without the butler to open the door. I went there two years ago - and now I think about it there was someone who looked like Pete with a D2 hanging around the plastic Lotus cars. Well worth a trip IMHO, you'd get a lot of milege out of your 60mm Macro.
Rolo Posted January 30, 2007 Share #12 Posted January 30, 2007 Lovely Dave. Have ou seen the B&W that lies under this image ? Not saying it's better than above, but it's - AWESOME ! Rolo

Rolo Posted January 31, 2007 Share #14 Posted January 31, 2007 OK Dave, This is not posted in competition with your colour image, nor is it a finished item. I think there are possibilities to work it in this direction if you want. Rolo
zanydave Posted January 31, 2007 Author Share #15 Posted January 31, 2007 Rolo I see where your going with this & yes I like it Cheers. Dave.

farnz Posted February 1, 2007 Share #17 Posted February 1, 2007 Dave, I hope you don't mind but I messed about with a little sepia to see how your shot looked and here's the result. I was surprised at how much detail I could recover in the trees on the left and in the chrome in the lower front bumper. (The image was slightly darker before I 'saved it for web'.)
