Advertisement Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Hi wilfredo, Take a look here Chrome lenses on black bodies. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Indecisive Posted October 21, 2009 Share #42 Posted October 21, 2009 I don't understand why they don't make all the lenses in chrome finish. I had to buy some 1950's lens to get that chrome on black look (yes .. I have no idea how to take photos but as long as the equipment looks cool .. I am happy )
mhoersch Posted October 21, 2009 Share #43 Posted October 21, 2009 My vacuum cleaner is neither chrome nor black, it's orange. Any objections to that?
jsrockit Posted October 21, 2009 Share #44 Posted October 21, 2009 I use a chrome body with a black lens and think it looks great!
Indecisive Posted October 21, 2009 Share #45 Posted October 21, 2009 My vacuum cleaner is neither chrome nor black, it's orange. Any objections to that? As long as you stick a Leica logo on it, then it is ok
wattsy Posted October 21, 2009 Share #46 Posted October 21, 2009 Isn't there a bit of difference between the chrome lenses of the 50s/60s and the lenses from more recent times? The former seem beautifully engineered like a decent Swiss watch whereas the latter just strike me as rather dull grey versions of the black equivalents. I know that the silver ones use more brass in the construction and may have a more durable finish but I've never thought they look particularly well made. Guest Joachim_I Posted October 22, 2009 Share #47 Posted October 22, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dull grey? If anything, than the newer ones are more shiny than the older ones. Neither of them are dull grey.

Mauribix Posted October 22, 2009 Share #49 Posted October 22, 2009 Some years ago I dreamed of an office with tall windows, wooden floor and high ceiling. I had this vision of entering into that room. When I got it, it didn't matter more in the sense that what I anyways saw was the stuff on desk and not the room. Thorsten, I second the concept that any single word here retains.
