Michael-IIIf Posted November 3, 2006 Share #1 Posted November 3, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Well, I've owned the D2 for two years, I held the M8 for two minutes, and my first snap with it is sharper than anything I've ever achieved with the D2. I popped into Classic Cameras today and they kindly allowed me to play with their new demo model, and use my SD card. I've processed this in CS2 because I don't have Capture One but even banging it through CS2 in a couple of seconds I like the result. I'm sure a bit of time and patience would reveal better processing methods. My first impressions of the camera? Pretty much what I expected from everyones' comments and postings. This is a REAL Leica. I was very impressed. My only nit-picking disappointments were I felt the leatherette/plastic body covering felt cheaper than my M6's (which I had with me) and the removable base plate didn't have the same silkly oiled-perfection action of the M6's. But do I want one? Well what do you think? Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees! M8, 75 'cron,
