sdai Posted October 6, 2007 Share #21 Posted October 6, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) you're missing one : (4) increased resale value ( or value retention ) on eBay So we shall buy 3 CAM lenses, add ROM and put them back on eBay then. Seriously, but it won't work ... there's still a price between the last ROM lenses and those ROM-added 3 CAM lenses, one just need to take a look at the serial number ... and some models don't even have a ROM version. My humble 2 cents only ...
Advertisement Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Hi sdai, Take a look here Any info on converting lenses to ROM?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
telyt Posted October 6, 2007 Share #22 Posted October 6, 2007 (4) increased resale value ( or value retention ) on eBay The cost of adding ROM is more than the increased resale value. If you add ROM to a lens, do it because it's useful. Adding ROM to increase resale value is bad economics. Since I use Leicaflexes as well as R bodies ROM decreases the value to me. zapp Posted October 8, 2007 Share #24 Posted October 8, 2007 I would glady give you the required info plus some advise yet i would rather like to know your real name first. it used to be a polite habbit here and at least i would like to continue it. if you do not like to be found by google use @ $ or other non-letter characters. cheers This is your very personal opinion. As this is a virtual forum, any virtual name will do. If you are not happy with this, you should not try to teach other people your opinion, just do not reply to their questions.
