Advertisement Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Hi mhoutman, Take a look here M8 accessory availability. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pascal_meheut Posted November 3, 2006 Share #2 Posted November 3, 2006 They are not available as far as I know. My dealer ordered them for me but nothing yet.
marknorton Posted November 3, 2006 Share #3 Posted November 3, 2006 I ordered from Leica Berlin because they were at least listing the items - camera protector, neoprene wrap for times when the camera is tossed into a week-end bag, the wide camera strap and of course the grip. Some are in, but not all but they expect them by the end of November. I think one or more spare batteries are going to be essential. Granted, you use the LCD a lot when getting to know a camera but my first charge lasted no time at all and it's quite slow to recharge.
carstenw Posted November 3, 2006 Share #4 Posted November 3, 2006 what is available yet ? batteries, handgrip ? have a nice day, Michiel I saw the grip on the shelf of Leica Berlin yesterday. It is a full-round grip, as opposed to the half-round grip depicted for the film Ms in the M-System booklet.
scott kirkpatrick Posted November 3, 2006 Share #5 Posted November 3, 2006 I think one or more spare batteries are going to be essential. Granted, you use the LCD a lot when getting to know a camera but my first charge lasted no time at all and it's quite slow to recharge. I've read that current Li Ion batteries need about three full charge/discharge cycles to start working at full capacity. Let us know how it does after the third cycle. (And don't cheat and rush out to shoot with a half-charged battery :<). scott

wattsy Posted November 3, 2006 Share #8 Posted November 3, 2006 For what it's worth, Classic Camera in London were confident of Leica UK supplying them with batteries next week.
