I apologize for acting against the forum rules by posting the following two pics, that were made with a Casio digital P&S. But in this part of the palace, photography was forbidden, and even an M6 cannot compete with the discreteness of a small digicam held in the palm ...

stunning photo-images. it is unfortunate that the iconography is from the 18th C., as it was a rather low, decadent peroid where western naturalistic influences are evident; do you have any iconography shot of Rublev's or from Novograd-influenced work?

Thomas: No, unfortunately not. We were not allowed to take pictures in the older rooms, and were under quite tight control all the time. Additionally, the lighting was poor, through the small windows, so these two pics from my digital P&S were the only ones not completely blurred or underexposed.
