My G10, SD780, and iPhone - silent. My 501CM - noisy, but in a reassuring kind of way. My SLRs, - as noisy as you would expect. And for a surprise - my Nikonos IVa, surprisingly quiet. Here is the list of my cameras: Sony W12 - silent Canon G1 - silent Canon G7 - silent Samsung L85 - silent Nikon P2 - silent (Yes, I know, I probably got way too much compact cameras ) Voigtlander Vito B:D - nearly silent Nikon F3 HP - middle loud Leica R8 - noisy Fuji S5Pro - as loud as the R8 but another noise Nikon D2x - very noisy ( loud "clang") Olympus 35-SP - nearly silent Best regards Daniel Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
