WmAl Posted March 16, 2009 Share #2 Posted March 16, 2009 Anyone from Long Island who would like to get together for lunch and a spring shoot somewhere on the Island. I'm in Riverhead. Wayne R. Smith Hi Wayne: There's a group of us Leicaphiles in NYC. I'm in Manhattan. Perhaps we could set up a day trip to Riverhead for the group. Or some other place of interest. LIRR is wheelchair accessible for me (to reduce walking, I'm a combat disabled veteran of Vietnam). The group can come out together by train. It's a good idea at least. smiway Posted March 31, 2009 Author Share #6 Posted March 31, 2009 Hello everybody and thanks for your interest. I thought sometime in May would be good. I'm open to share any ideas about where or when. It would be great to meet for lunch to get acquainted and then go take pictures somewhere. I'm pretty flexible as to when or where. There's a lot of nice places out east where I am (North Fork farm and wine country). We could always stop in a winery for a glass of wine afterwards! I've have also often gone to Old Bethpage Village to take pictures. William, thanks for your service in Vietnam. It would be great if some of your group could make it, but I don't want to make it somewhere that would be difficult for you to get to. Steve, it's a long way across the pond from Germany, but I would love you to attend! In the meantime, what is everyone shooting with? I have an MP, M8, M6 and a recent LX4. I love film better, but tend to shoot digital for convenience. However, there's a part of me that wishes digital had never arrived. I hope we can work something out. Regards, Wayne (Smith)
