vdb Posted March 11, 2009 Share #2 Posted March 11, 2009 Beautiful light, detail and color. I would consider cropping the lower shadow and also would like to see a B&W version. Whatdya think of this?:

allamande Posted March 11, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted March 11, 2009 Yeah, I like the idea. I wasn't too sure about the extensive white area at the bottom, but did like the lacy shadow. How about these two (different shots of the same petal)? Do you think color works better in this version compared to the OP? Thank you for taking the time to give me your input. I appreciate it very much! Ece
vdb Posted March 11, 2009 Share #5 Posted March 11, 2009 Ahhh, the color one seems best...love the bokeh, gives it a fuller look and better feel. Well done.
azzo Posted March 11, 2009 Share #6 Posted March 11, 2009 Ece, The first in b&w would make it for me ( Hope you don't mind). The shadow which IMHO is very important, stays. Love the detail in your last b&w too.

stuny Posted March 11, 2009 Share #8 Posted March 11, 2009 Ece - They are all lovely, but the last three (your crops and Ivan's conversion) are super.
allamande Posted March 12, 2009 Author Share #9 Posted March 12, 2009 Virgil, Thank you for your very valuable feedback and helping me think about this image in different ways. Ivan, I like your version very much. I did like the shadow in the first image, but the white was too overwhelming. In your conversion this issue seems to be resolved and the lacy structure shimmers and contrasts nicely against its shadow. Thank you! Mike, thank you for your kind comments. I appreciate them very much. Stuart, As always, thank you for being so supportive with your generous feedback. Best regards, Ece
