All the best.
dcuthbert Posted March 9, 2009 Share #3 Â Posted March 9, 2009 I find that using the left eye often leaves the lcd/back of the leica full of face grease. This obviously is only an issue in hot countries, so if you are in freezing Europe, it's less of an issue. Â Once you get used to it, it's second nature

cbretteville Posted March 9, 2009 Share #6  Posted March 9, 2009 How many of you use your left eye for focusing. It feels unnatural and I'm having trouble focusing. Is this just a matter of perseverance? Anyone use their left eye?  I'm a left eyed shooter that has had to go the other way. My right eye is better than my left and has been for the last decade.  In 2007 I gave in and decided to retrain myself to use my right eye. And yes, it felt hopeless at first. It took me about six months to get comfortable with the switch and another few until I was using it without thinking. I just lifted my M6 to my left eye and while it does not feel as awkward as the right eye did in the beginning it does feel different an not as natural as the right eye.  So for me the answer was perseverance.  - Carl
fotografr Posted March 9, 2009 Share #7 Â Posted March 9, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've shot with my right eye ever since I first picked up a camera, but a few months ago I experienced a posterior vitreous detachment and it has made my right eye somewhat blurry. It's a temporary situation and something 75% of you can look forward to having someday, but for now I've had to switch to my left eye for focusing. I'm finding that it is actually quite comfortable and was easy to get used to. I may not even go back when the problem clears up.

elviskennedy Posted March 9, 2009 Share #9 Â Posted March 9, 2009 It's quite simple; users who look through a Leica viewfinder with their left are better people.
