pechelman Posted March 25, 2017 Share #16921 Posted March 25, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Michael Hiles for the win! Steamboat Springs aka "Ski Town USA" is home to some of the US Winter Olympic training (e.g. ski jumping) and was settled right on the Yampa River. When the locals got there, they heard an odd chugging sound that was reminiscent to a Steamboat. As it turns out, it was a natural thermal spring bubbling up. Unfortunately, due to the rail road construction, the natural spring was disrupted, so while it still flows and bubbles lightly, it's very quiet. Michael Geschlecht Posted March 27, 2017 Share #16928 Posted March 27, 2017 (edited) Hello Robert, No, that is a variety of Maltese Cross. Somewhat older than Fascism. Modern Fascism was invented in France in the 19th Century (Think: "Dreyfus is Guilty"). Michael Hiles Posted March 27, 2017 Share #16930 Posted March 27, 2017 Thanks Michael - Maltese Cross is right - no relation to fascism. Not Sicily - but right country.
AZach Posted March 29, 2017 Share #16931 Posted March 29, 2017 In Rome we have Piazza dei Cavalieri di Malta.
Michael Hiles Posted March 29, 2017 Share #16932 Posted March 29, 2017 Exactly! The clue, perhaps, is the Maltese Cross in the stonework. I don't believe the two people are Knights of Malta. Over to you.

pechelman Posted March 29, 2017 Share #16934 Posted March 29, 2017 It looks like they're selling some Spargel. Are we in Deutschland?
otto.f Posted March 29, 2017 Share #16935 Posted March 29, 2017 (edited) Looks more Scandinavian to me, but not possible with the KurfürstenStube there in the back. Berlin? Edited March 29, 2017 by otto.f
AZach Posted March 29, 2017 Share #16936 Posted March 29, 2017 Hello, Spargel in Deutschland for sure but not in Berlin or near.
pechelman Posted March 29, 2017 Share #16937 Posted March 29, 2017 a bit sneaky there using some misinformation to throw us off. When I searched kurfuersten-stube, I got the wrong place town, but with Spargel in mind, i was able to find the right one. Unfortunately, I dont have anymore pictures to share that qualify, so I'll have to let someone else take this one. I just love how enthusiastic the Germans are about their Spargel that they've made a monument about it. Thanks for sharing
AZach Posted March 29, 2017 Share #16938 Posted March 29, 2017 ... "misinformation" honestly unintentional...
pechelman Posted March 29, 2017 Share #16939 Posted March 29, 2017 To be clear, that wasn't intended to be a jab at you or anything. Sometimes things are lost in the posting. Really a great submission. For me, I found it much quicker when I searched for it using German words with my limited vocabulary.
