pechelman Posted August 9, 2016 Share #16281 Posted August 9, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) pretty sure i know where this is, down to the name of that rock formation, but not sure i feel it right for me to answer as it took a bit of guessing and google searching What i'm curious about, and maybe you can answer after someone guesses correctly, but what is it exactly about the crop that would give it away? To me it seems like the zoomed out version is easier to figure out the location. This place in general is still on my travel list, so I'd like to know eventually

To me it seems like the zoomed out version is easier to figure out the location. This place in general is still on my travel list, so I'd like to know eventually I was just curious and do not know whether it adds to the solution. The left, bigger rock seems to have a man-made arty structure, that is more to the left than the given crop. Intrigued me, that's all

Michael Geschlecht Posted August 15, 2016 Share #16289 Posted August 15, 2016 Hello Phil & Michael' Why not do both? Tower & Roses: Not too far from the Rhine River? Bench & Trees: Somewhere in Massachusetts?
pechelman Posted August 15, 2016 Share #16290 Posted August 15, 2016 Hello Phil & Michael' Why not do both? Tower & Roses: Not too far from the Rhine River? Bench & Trees: Somewhere in Massachusetts? The tower is not too far from the Rhine, but it's located on a different European river.

Michael Hiles Posted August 15, 2016 Share #16292 Posted August 15, 2016 (edited) Bench and Trees - very far from Massachusetts. But definitely a park. Edited August 15, 2016 by Michael Hiles
pechelman Posted August 15, 2016 Share #16293 Posted August 15, 2016 (edited) Hello Phil, Perhaps on the Mosel or 1 of its tributaries? Best Regards, Michael wrong river basin all together. Still, the Mosel and Rhine are geographically close to this picture, at least as things go in the world. I'd focus more on the tower and the garden than the river. Certainly that tower should look familiar, though maybe a bit smaller. (big hint ) Edited August 15, 2016 by pechelman
farhiz Posted August 16, 2016 Share #16294 Posted August 16, 2016 The tower is Petrin tower, Prague. Much smaller than the Eiffel that it was based on. Was there in June this year.
pechelman Posted August 16, 2016 Share #16295 Posted August 16, 2016 That's it, Farhiz. We almost crossed paths. That picture is from just over a month ago.

pechelman Posted August 16, 2016 Share #16297 Posted August 16, 2016 Here's one. Oops - sorry. No intention to horn in. Michael. No worries Brought some extra life to the thread. Could we be in Japan? Only guessing that because of the people. Otherwise, the only thing else I might be able to identify; are those eucalyptus trees on the sides? Only guessing that because of the people. Otherwise, the only thing else I might be able to identify; are those eucalyptus trees on the sides? Japan is much closer - but not correct. It is Asia, flight from Tokyo - probably 3 hrs. The people are a kind of informal glee club who come to the park to sing, Edited August 16, 2016 by Michael Hiles
Michael Geschlecht Posted August 16, 2016 Share #16299 Posted August 16, 2016 Hello Michael, 3 hours?Does that mean that this is a photo taken in a park somewhere in Mainland China?Best Regards, Michael
