Sv. Jakov Cathedral in Sibenik. There are 74 faces carved into it of real people who were around during the cathedral's construction. If I recall it's a World Heritage Site, and the little town is a gem. We arrived fairly early in the morning when a mass was being celebrated so we couldn't go inside until afterwards, but it did give us a chance to tour the town with very few people around. You can see photos of the town and cathedral beginning on this page: http://www.barbara-and-stu.com/plogger/index.php?level=album&id=106&plog_page=2.

Stuny, this is one natural, ungoogled, authentic answer. I see that we share a same eye for this lion, :)

Hello Otto,

This lion looks British.

Best Regards,

Michael

It is Venetian though. The most of the remarkable architecture in Croatia has been built by the Venetians
