That seems to be a popular guess with me.

 

By the way, do you see how the person is painting the mountain in the background with more or less of the perspective of a 90mm lens on a full format 35mm camera?

Yes, Michael -- this is Colorado. Boulder County to be exact. Interesting observation about the painter's perspective, which I had not noticed. Over to you, Michael!

You could call that foothills yes, still quite high here though, don't know what exactly geographically is defined as Himalaya
