Dirk Van der Herten Posted March 8, 2010 Share #3844 Posted March 8, 2010 Neither Topkapi, nor Royal Museums of Art and History. But Portugal is correct.
stuny Posted March 8, 2010 Share #3845 Posted March 8, 2010 Dirk - The piece makes me think of Topkapi, but I don't recall that background at that location. So, how about the museum of Islamic Art within a short walk of Topkapi?
jaapv Posted March 8, 2010 Share #3846 Posted March 8, 2010 I know of only one Islamic museum in Portugal, but have never been there. Mertola?

Dirk Van der Herten Posted March 8, 2010 Share #3848 Posted March 8, 2010 Excellent, Frans! The Calouste Gulbenkian Museum in Lisbon is famous for its fine collection of Islamic art objects. I googled "mosque lamp Gulbenkian" for images, and the first hit was this precise lamp. Topkapi and the museum in Mertola could have been good candidates, but alas. No PM's for you for this time I'm afraid, Stuart. Over to you, Frans.
