doubice Posted November 9, 2009 Share #2626 Posted November 9, 2009 Would it be the Warszawa's Old Town Market Place with the 'Zamek Królewski' (I assume the King's Palace Tower)? Best Jan

doubice Posted November 10, 2009 Share #2628 Posted November 10, 2009 Great! And I did not use Google - visited Warsaw many (and I really mean many) years ago. With my limited knowledge of Polish (similar to Czech - my mother tongue), I was able to translate Zamek Królewski (Zámek Královský in Czech) to English - King's Palace or Castle. Let me start rumaging through my digital files..... Hopefully, I'll come up with something. Best, Jan

doubice Posted November 11, 2009 Share #2637 Posted November 11, 2009 There's an airplane on that grassy bit on the other side ... and it's pretty flat. So it's not Denver Funny....! No, it is definitely not Denver! Airports are thankfully "pretty flat" but, they don't necessarily serve flat cities.... (hint). If you look hard, you will see mountains in the distance. Don't be deceived by the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere....... Stuart is the closest........ Good luck, Jan

doubice Posted November 12, 2009 Share #2640 Posted November 12, 2009 How about really close to Jan's home? Strait of Georgia? Peter, Not exactly the answer I was looking for but, you take over the torch (in the spirit of the upcoming 2010 Vancouver Olympics) . The body of water in front of the fisherman is the Fraser River and the plane is ready to take off from the Vancouver International Airport. Directly behind me is the City of Richmond, one of Vancouver's suburbs. The body of water in the background is the Straight of Georgia and it is indeed "really close to Jan's home" - about 5km, taken during my daily bike ride. Your turn, Peter Best, Jan
