stuny Posted February 11, 2024 Share #21287 Posted February 11, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) We know its Mexico. This suggests Maya, Aztec or Zapotec.
stuny Posted February 15, 2024 Share #21288 Posted February 15, 2024 It is a Maya ruin, unusual vs. others due to geography.
Bernard M Posted February 16, 2024 Share #21289 Posted February 16, 2024 Perhaps Tulum ?
stuny Posted February 18, 2024 Share #21290 Posted February 18, 2024 Tulum is correct - The only Maya ruin on the coast. In fact, just off screen to the left is a 15 meter cliff down to a beautiful beach below.
Bernard M Posted February 20, 2024 Share #21291 Posted February 20, 2024 Sorry to be late. I’m afraid that this one is not very easy, but let’s try: what is the name of the city? Michael Geschlecht Posted February 21, 2024 Share #21292 Posted February 21, 2024 Hello Bernard, Welcome to the Forum. Could we be somewhere in Germany? Best Regards, Michael
Bernard M Posted February 21, 2024 Share #21293 Posted February 21, 2024 Thank you Michael. We are not in Germany: please cross the border on the left side.
stuny Posted February 21, 2024 Share #21294 Posted February 21, 2024 That suggests France.
Bernard M Posted February 21, 2024 Share #21295 Posted February 21, 2024 Or Belgium… But you’re right, we are in France.
otto.f Posted February 22, 2024 Share #21296 Posted February 22, 2024 Les Vosges, Vogezen or its English name
Bernard M Posted February 22, 2024 Share #21297 Posted February 22, 2024 Not Les Vosges. Geologically speaking, although my knowledge in this area is small, it is in an older massif.
Bernard M Posted March 2, 2024 Share #21298 Posted March 2, 2024 So, nobody knows (the trouble I’ve seen…)? For your information, the dam in the lower right part of the picture is for drinkable water and not for electricity. It’s part of a grid of 3 dams, one of which is now empty for safety reason. It’s a multiple arch dam. Not sure it helps, though…. Another information: to make it simple, there are 2 old massif in France. One of which is the Massif Armoricain (roughly Brittany), but we are not there.
otto.f Posted March 3, 2024 Share #21299 Posted March 3, 2024 (edited) Massif Central. But I do not recognize the typical Auvergne style landscape Edited March 3, 2024 by otto.f
Bernard M Posted March 3, 2024 Share #21300 Posted March 3, 2024 Massif Central is correct. But it is quite normal that you do not recognize the Auvergne landscapes, as we are not in this area. In fact, we are in the historical province of the Lyonnais, or more precisely in the Forez area, and landscapes are quite different from the Auvergne.
