vertekijker Posted June 10, 2009 Share #1442 Posted June 10, 2009 Right continent, Luigi, but a cooler place (in winter). Frans
vertekijker Posted June 10, 2009 Share #1443 Posted June 10, 2009 (edited) I hadn't seen your reply, wls, before I read Luigi's, but you are right, it is in Kyoto! Yes it is close to the Philosopher's Way. The actual location is at the Nanzenji-temple, it is part of the Lake Biwa canal which brings water from the biggest lake in Japan to a hydroelectric plant in the center of Kyoto. Your turn! ------------ Frans Edited June 10, 2009 by vertekijker

Guest wls.shanghai Posted June 11, 2009 Share #1447 Posted June 11, 2009 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Stuart - yes it is Nassau - Bahamas (Caribbean) exactly the "Bahamian Parliament" in Nassau. The Bahamas sufferd occupation & exploitation by the Spanish, French, Britsh and Americans. The City of Nassau also played a significant role in the American Civil War and in the US Prohibition Era. Stuart - your turn wls Edited June 11, 2009 by wls.shanghai
stuny Posted June 11, 2009 Share #1448 Posted June 11, 2009 Werner - Thank you. It has been decades since I've been to the Bahamas but the policeman's uniform tipped me off. I'm glad I finally was able to get one. For my first post (hopefully not last) in this section here is a scene that I'm certain a number of Forum members have seen. Welcome, dear visitor! stuny Posted June 11, 2009 Share #1453 Posted June 11, 2009 Rob - Since you know where the James Craig is, since you know that at one time the replica of the Bounty was here, and since you are a Sydney-sider, it's clear you recognize this. It's your turn, now.
rob_x2004 Posted June 11, 2009 Share #1454 Posted June 11, 2009 (edited) Yea caught in gully after it was juggled from second slip when the keeper fumbled...Though I had a second look and technically I think I can see the James Craig in the background. Ps....If you google Darling Harbour you will quickly find the yellow shearline or bumper rail makes the ship in focus not the james craig.
