St. Patrick´s day is approaching. Is the church carrying his name?

Maybe (I don't know for sure - perhaps, likely the church is dedicated to St. Patrick since there is an ancient connection), but this is not St. Patrick's Dublin.

Perhaps non-UK Ireland?

The Republic of Ireland is right on the money.

Rock of Cashel.  Appears to be a photo taken before it became a favorite tourist site.

Drum roll, please. Rock of Cashel is right. We visited two years ago, on a very gray day. There were quite a few tourists, but I applied the concept of the Decisive Moment (i.e. press the button when the other tourists were just out of the frame.).

Of the places we have visited, Ireland is one I would go back to early and often. Lots of history, beautiful landscapes, very good food, gracious and civilized people. And the world's most beautiful English.

War, you are up.

Yes I agree with you and I do go often.   A beautiful place to photograph and when the weather turns foul you simply switch to black and white and you are always rewarded.

I have nothing to post right now so someone please jump in and post something good for us. Thank you

Ok, I was digging in my picture files ...

So then, what is the name of the building with the spires and in which town is it?

Thanks, Arrow.

At first sight this might look challenging, but the location is quite well-known.
