a.j.z Posted May 14, 2014 Share #13769 Posted May 14, 2014 (edited) Gent, Moscou is apparently a part of it and has its names from a former presence of the Russian army. The buildings do not look Eastern European. I assume they prefer beer in Gent? Edited May 14, 2014 by a.j.z
vertekijker Posted May 14, 2014 Share #13770 Posted May 14, 2014 (edited) Gent, Moscou is apparently a part of it and has its names from a former presence of the Russian army. The buildings do not look Eastern European. I assume they prefer beer in Gent? Excellent Andreas! When Napoleon was defeated in Waterloo, Russians soldiers were stationed in that part of Gent ('Ghent' in English). Beer is very popular indeed, but 'jenever' is the stronger stuff that is served in both the southern and northern Netherlands. Your turn! ----------- Frans Edited May 14, 2014 by vertekijker
larsv Posted May 14, 2014 Share #13771 Posted May 14, 2014 In Ghent one can find the complete spectrum of liquids tasting; beer, jenevers and whiskey. Most likely there will also be a wine tasting. But that is not what the tourists come for. Culture of course!
a.j.z Posted May 14, 2014 Share #13772 Posted May 14, 2014 Nothing to be said against beer! For wine you should go further south Here is the next one: Welcome, dear visitor! a.j.z Posted May 14, 2014 Share #13774 Posted May 14, 2014 Yes, again. You could get a little more precise without risking to solve it, as for this I would want the name of the city/village.
