The very first television tower was built on it and the first live television of the Olympics was broadcast from there.

Asmus Posted March 21, 2014 Share #13523 Posted March 21, 2014 Mr. Google suggests Stuttgart. Yes, I've found that site also, Stuttgart 1956; but in a strict sense it's wrong. On this peak already 1936 a tv-tower was built.

albireo_double Posted March 26, 2014 Share #13535 Posted March 26, 2014 (edited) Gentlemen, we are in Europe, but not Switzerland and not Italy. Rather closer to where I live.... :-) The bridge was constructed quite recently and is a new attraction on this popular and often visited mountain. There is a glacier to the right of my position, with some nice ski runs. And Asmus obviously knows where we are; so does Ai Weiwei :-) Edited March 26, 2014 by albireo_double

vertekijker Posted March 28, 2014 Share #13540 Posted March 28, 2014 Not sure how the Ai Weiwei hint is meant to be taken. Did he live there, exhibit work, was he inspired by the landscape? -------------- Frans
