"Do you know the world ?" -- Competition --

Exactly! The reason I said "the lake you can see" is that there is another lake to the left and higher up, called Mica Lake, which was still frozen over and covered in snow even at the end of August, when I was there.

Your turn now, Peter.

Thanks Peter, I have not been there, but the look of Wyoming/Montana/Idaho mountains was unmistakable.

Ok, where was this taken? I have a feeling this is too easy, but I'm running out of "good" Leica shots for this competition.

Cheers, -Peter

Too easy, I guess. Cochella Vally is correct, the mountains in the background are actually Indio Mountains and in the distance Santa Rosa Mountains. San Jachinto Mtns. are a bit more to the W. We're looking pretty much due S here. The picture was taken at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

Over to you Gary!

Cheers, -Peter

Thank you Peter. One of my brothers had a house in La Quinta. Suzy and I have spent a lot of time in the area.

Now - Please identify where we are.

Thanks, Gary. Tracy Arm is magical, particularly the section before you get to the glacier.

I'll need a little time to fish in the depths of my hard drive. I always secretly hope that my answer may not be correct and am never ready when it is....

Best,

Jan

OK - here we go.... Where are we?

Probably too easy but, I won't be anywhere close to my files for a while and did not want to slow the game down.

Good luck,

Jan
