My Mother and brother went there that year- Cultural Revolution still in the air... everyone wearing the little blue outfits and some carrying the little red book... I wen't down the Pearl River in 91... must have spotted those same fishermen... OK- give me a moment and I will find something...

bill Posted October 13, 2011 Share #8625 Posted October 13, 2011 My vote goes to Hanoi, the bridge over the Mekong that was designed by Gustave Eiffel and had the crap bombed out of it during the "American war". It's an "interesting" shape as a result of a multitude of repairs. Regards, Bill
dcoombs Posted October 13, 2011 Share #8626 Posted October 13, 2011 Don't think so, Bill. One, the Mekong doesn't flow into Vietnam until the south, via Cambodia, ending in the delta region near Saigon. No where near Hanoi. Two, the people don't look Vietnamese to me. I would vote for south Asian, that is, India or Pakistan. Doug
