It is not Delft University, nor is it Prague but I think Bill may be referring to the previous place.

Further clue - this place is well known and is seen on TV news programmes from time to time.

Neither EU nor Cherbourg but you could say that the EU has influenced its role.

 

Bob, are you saying that it is not an EU institution or that it is not located within the EU? Is the location in Europe (geographically speaking) at all?

It is not an EU institution.

It is not Strasbourg.

It is not the Court of Human Rights.

It is not in any of the countries so far mentioned.

The picture shows the rear view of the building.

The country is in Europe both geographically and politically.

Neither CH nor A but there is another one, usually denoted by a single letter of the alphabet.

A single letter? Here we go: F, B, L, I, H, N, S, P (sorry Michael - Poland has two letters - PL). So - is this in ‘L’? ;)
